Welcome to The Alberta Association of Fundraising Executives. AAFRE is the oldest professional fundraising association in Alberta. As such, we have a long history of uniting the most committed fundraisers in the province. Our aim is:

• to provide educational and networking opportunities for fundraisers
• to promote the use of ethical standards in fundraising programs
• to spread awareness of the benefits to society accomplished through fundraising

Who are AAFRE Members?
Our members include agencies serving in salaried or volunteer positions as well as organizations that support philanthropic causes. At AAFRE, our goal is to represent fundraisers from all across Alberta. Membership is open to:

• charities, foundations, and not-for-profit organizations involved in soliciting funds by means of philanthropic giving
• business organizations participating in the philanthropic process by making charitable donations and/or providing services to the charitable sector in support of their philanthropic endeavours
• individuals who serve in a fundraising capacity with a philanthropic institution
• members of consulting firms engaged in fundraising management or support
• volunteers in fundraising roles with charitable organizations
• students taking post-secondary programs to prepare them for careers as fundraising professionals
