About Us

  • To require AAFRE's members and member organizations to adhere to a professional code of ethical standards and practices
  • To provide and promote training opportunities for fundraising professionals
  • To provide a forum for discussing common interests and concerns among professionals working in the fundraising field
  • To collect, research, publish, and disseminate historical, managerial, and technical information about philanthropy and philanthropic fundraising
  • To promote the study and advancement of fundraising techniques and procedures
  • To encourage the public understanding of philanthropy and philanthropic fundraising
  • To spread awareness about the activities of the members and their organizations
  • To engage in activities that maintain and develop legislation favourable to philanthropy
  • To enlist, organize, and support members for the achievement of its purposes
  • To raise money for carrying out the Society's goals
