Objectives

Welcome to the
Alberta Association of Fund Raising Executives (AAFRE)

AAFRE is the oldest professional fundraising association in Alberta. We work to teach and promote professionalism amongst some of the most committed individuals and organizations in the province as well as spread awareness of the benefits provided through the efforts of our members.

Our objectives include:
·  Providing educational and professional networking opportunities for Alberta fundraisers
· Establishing and promoting ethical standards in the fundraising profession
· Spreading awareness of the humanitarian benefits fundraising accomplishes in Alberta

Who are AAFRE Members?

AAFRE members include individuals and agencies working and or volunteering in professional positions. Many of  these organizations support philanthropic causes.

AAFRE's goal is to represent fundraisers working in Alberta. Membership is available to:
·   Charities, foundations, and not-for-profit organizations involved in promoting and advocating
    philanthropic giving.
·   Organizations that make charitable donations or provide services in support of their
    philanthropic endeavours.
·   Individuals who provide professional fundraising services for a philanthropic organization.
·   Members of consulting firms engaged in fundraising management or support.
·   Volunteers in fundraising roles with charitable organizations.
·   Students taking post-secondary programs to prepare them for careers as fundraising
    professionals.
